hillary rae overmyer, owner & senior event consultant

Hillary launched Hillary Rae’s Event Planning in the summer of 2017, after five years in the event industry. While pursuing her communications degree at Eastern Illinois University, Hillary worked on events to help build her understand of the industry. Hillary then went to San Diego State to further her educations to get her certification in meeting and event planning.  She began her professional career in Greensboro, NC planning special events for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a minor league baseball team. After being with the team for about 2 years she then went into corporate event and wedding industry. Her years of coordinating a wide range of events inspired her to start her own company.

Her creative vision, customer service skills and immaculate attention to detail have led her to successfully coordinate a wide variety of events. Hillary’s passion makes the event planning process a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience for her clients. Hillary values the relationships that she builds with each client she works with, she feels as if she builds a friendship with each and every client that she interacts with. 

When Hillary is not planning special events, she enjoys spending time with her family in a small town outside of Champaign, IL. Hillary has a passion for attending auctions and estate sales to hunt for unique home décor.  She loves having guests over to entertain, which brings her love for the event industry into full circle. She can honestly say that she does what she loves daily and it doesn’t even feel like its work.

Hillary is truly blessed to be doing what she loves most – planning events that bring joy to her clients and the guests attending.
